Lance Morgan
Lance Morgan

Lance Morgan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Ho-Chunk, Inc. Lance Morgan launched Ho-Chunk, Inc. in 1994 as the economic development corporation for the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska.  During his association with Ho-Chunk, Inc. he has directed the development of 30 subsidiaries with operations throughout the United States and in five foreign countries.  Morgan is a research affiliate with the Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development; an Honoring Nations High Honors recipient in 2000 and recipient of the Innovations in American Government Award in 2001, both presented by Harvard Kennedy School of Business. He has served as an Economic Policy Consultant for the U.S. Department of the Interior and was appointed to the Consumer Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. in 2006.  In 2010, he was named Regional Minority Small Business Person of the Year by the SBA.  In 2011, Morgan was selected as a Champion of Change honoree by the White House and President Obama.  He is an adjunct professor at several universities around the country.

Morgan is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar Association, and the Nebraska Bar Association.   Morgan holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Nebraska and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.   He is an enrolled member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska.

Annette Hamilton

Annette Hamilton is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Ho-Chunk, Inc. Annette Hamilton joined Ho-Chunk, Inc. in 2001 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and was promoted to Chief Operations Officer in 2004.  Hamilton oversees the daily operations of all 30 Ho-Chunk subsidiary companies, making visits to all operations.  Hamilton is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and corporate business plans.  She also appraises and makes executive decisions on prospective corporate acquisitions and expansion. Hamilton advocates and makes numerous political contacts regionally and nationally on behalf of corporate and subsidiary interests. Her previous experience includes a position as Financial Analyst and Manager of Financial Reporting for Gateway, Inc., an international computer manufacturer and finance positions in both private industry and certified public accounting.   She serves on the Board of Directors for the following:   Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City, Siouxland Human Investment Partnership, and ONSI Ponca.

Hamilton holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.  She is an enrolled member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas.

Dennis Johnson

Dennis Johnson
is Chief Financial Officer for Ho-Chunk, Inc.
Johnson joined Ho-Chunk, Inc. as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2008.  Johnson’s responsibilities include the supervision and review of Ho-Chunk’s finance staff as well as record-keeping and financial reporting to corporate management. He is also responsible for managing the financial risks of the corporation. Johnson provides analysis of financial data and has an integral role in financial planning  and projections for the corporation. He also participates in the development of the corporation’s short and long term goals and strategies and oversees the management of banking relationships.  His previous experience includes management roles within the automotive industry. 

Johnson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from the University of South Dakota.  He is enrolled member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians of Minnesota.

Sharon Frenchman

Sharon Frenchman is Chief Administrative Officer of Ho-Chunk, Inc. Sharon Frenchman joined Ho-Chunk, Inc. in 2005 as Operations Manager following a long career in education at both the secondary and post-secondary level.  She was promoted to Director of Administration in 2008 and as Chief Administrative Officer in 2011.  She is responsible to assist in oversight of corporate and subsidiary daily operations and directly responsible for management of the Ho-Chunk, Inc. Human Resources Department which oversees employee relations for all corporate and subsidiary operations.

Frenchman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and Master in Education from Briar Cliff University, Sioux City, Iowa.  She is an enrolled member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska.
