Ho-Chunk CEO, Morgan To speak At NCAI Conference
WINNEBAGO, NE – Lance Morgan, President and CEO of Ho-Chunk, Inc. will be a panelist at the 2011 National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) Mid-Year Conference on June 14th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Morgan will be speaking on Tax Policy and Tribal Economies at the conference. The breakout session will focus on tax policy that fosters revenue generation and economic growth on Indian reservations.
The NCAI Mid-Year Conference will be held at the Frontier Airlines Convention Center in Milwaukee and is scheduled for June 13-16. The conference, entitled “Native Resources: Tribal Cultures and the Economy” will explore the diversity of Native cultures and the range of opportunities available to strengthen Native economies and communities.
“I am honored to been invited to be a panelist at this gathering of the National Congress of American Indians on a topic that I believe is vital to the development of Tribal communities and progress of Native people throughout Indian Country,” Morgan said.
Besides Morgan’s role as Ho-Chunk, Inc. CEO, he is also a practicing attorney representing Native American Tribes and organizations throughout the United States. He has served as a consultant to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for economic policy and development in Indian Country; Consumer Advisory Board Member for the Federal Reserve; is president of the Native American Contractors Association; adjunct professor at several universities; a Board member for several Native American corporations throughout the United States and is a frequent speaker across the country on topics of Indian Law and of Tribal Economic Development.
