Jerry Beavers serves as Ho-Chunk, Inc.’s Vice President of Information Technology.
He joined the company in 2018 as the Director of IT and was promoted to Senior Director of IT. He has over 30 years of IT management experience, including time at three Fortune 500 Companies and running an IT consulting practice in Kansas City.
His major accomplishments at Ho-Chunk, Inc. include the startup of Warhorse Gaming. He directed the implementation of the IT technical environment for Warhorse Gaming and supporting offices in Lincoln, Nebraska.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led Ho-Chunk, Inc.’s IT department to provide the tools that would allow employees to effectivity telework in a secure manner. He also partnered with Winnebago Tribal organizations, providing advice for improving IT and communications across the community.
He has also guided the overall company and federal contracting division All Native Group (ANG) to come in compliance with Department of Defense NIST cybersecurity guidelines.
Additionally, Jerry implemented a strong cybersecurity platform to protect all Ho-Chunk, Inc. data and to allow ANG and Flatwater Group to compete for government contracts that include cybersecurity requirements. This was critical in maintaining a competitive edge in the federal contracting field.
In his free time, Jerry enjoys traveling with family and friends. He has visited 48 states in the U.S. and five countries. He is a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Omaha, Nebraska.
