Over 50 students in the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska‘s Summer Youth Employment Program recently toured Ho-Chunk, Inc. locations in the region.
This partnership allows Winnebago high school aged-students to learn more about the skills and education required to be successful in the workforce, while teaching them what Ho-Chunk, Inc. does and how they can be part of it.
The tour, which is typically an annual tradition, had been put on hold in recent years due to the pandemic.
Summer youth workers began their day with tours of Ho-Chunk, Inc. Corporate and Village Pointe offices in Winnebago in addition to Rock River Manufacturing, Ho-Chunk Farms and Tribal Farms.
From there, they traveled to the Ho-Chunk Centre in Sioux City and visited Ho-Chunk Capital, BluStone Architecture Studio and Blue Earth Marketing.
The tour wrapped up with tours and riverfront views at Flatwater Crossing before returning to corporate offices in Winnebago.
