The Ho-Chunk, Inc. Internship Program offers meaningful work experience for outstanding undergraduate, graduate, and JD/law-seeking students. Interns gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship, and are trained by field experts in their respective areas. Interns participate in educational sessions led by senior leadership to learn about the complexity of our company and the many divisions we oversee. The program provides valuable summer employment and helps identify potential Tribal members for future full-time opportunities.

Internship placements are available in Winnebago, NE; Sioux City, IA; Omaha, NE; Lincoln, NE;  Fairfax, VA;  and Detroit Lakes, MN.

Program Overview:

  • Cumulative 2.5 GPA at time of application.

  • Must have completed at least one full semester in the current academic year.

  • Eligibility is not limited to Winnebago Tribal members, any and all who meet the eligibility are encouraged to apply.

  • Business students are given preference; however, a variety of degree paths are also considered.

  • Work together with peers as a team.

  • Impact the community through meaningful projects.

  • Contribute to Ho-Chunk, Inc.’s goals and mission.

  • Attend a Ho-Chunk, Inc. Board of Directors and a Winnebago Tribal Council Meeting.
