Meet Wakinyan Flute Player, 2022 Summer Intern

Wakinyan is from Flandreau, SD. She is currently majoring in cannabis studies at Little Priest Tribal College.

Wakinyan would like to use her time during this internship to learn the ins and outs of running a business along with learning what it takes to be a leader.

If Wakinyan had her own television show, it would be called “The Logic of Our Ancestors.” It would show traditional practices to give people access to history and a visualization of how their ancestors lived.

One thing on her bucket list is to travel to Tokyo, Japan. Her favorite food is baked squash with honey. 🍯
